Prayer Request

I would like us to pray for a few things this week. First, I would like to pray for our ministry, that God may lead us in the direction that brings Him pleasure. Second, I would like for us to pray for eachother as many of us start school, in the next week or so, that we can be sensitive of the needs of our friends and classmates. I pray that we would be intentional with people and let them know that we are ready to show them what brings us peace and joy. Lastly, please pray for Keren, the baby and myself. We find out tomorrow the gender of the baby. We are blessed that God has seen us fit to have this baby and that we may prepare our minds and hearts to show our baby unconditional love.

Have a great week guys....See most of you Friday night...the rest of you see you at the baptism on Saturday. Goodnight...Rivas out...

Camp Boggy Creek

Hey guys! (or to whoever actually reads this blog). I'm back from a week of playing with kids at camp. It was totally awesome. I just want to praise God for just little moments in the week where He revealed himself. And just for the whole week in general. It's non-denominational non-profit camp, yet somehow, I saw Him work there throughout the week. I feel so blessed that I had the opportunity to just take a break from my life and gain some perspective. We are so blessed by Him with all of our good fortune and support by the people in our lives. We forget, or at least I do, that there are people who don't have that support system and aren't fortunate enough in their health and their luck. The kids I met at camp are so full of energy and positivity depite their overwhelming circumstances, I was so in awe of their strength. I just realized that God gives us that same strength, even if we don't tap into it. He IS our support system. No matter how big or small our adversity, God is there for us, encouraging us, wanting us to become better individuals. Boggy is like a getaway, a safehaven, for some of these kids, the only thing keeping them going. God should be our Boggy. We need nothing else to keep going except what He gives. Aaaannnd, that's it. Okay. Bye.- Karin

Prayer for Ivan Mesa

This is an email I received from Ivan:

Please pray for my grandma. On Monday she went to the emergency room because her blood pressure sky-rocketed. She was discharged on Thursday evening and she's back home. I'll be spending my four months of break with her. It's a grace of God to be able to be with her now and tend to her needs and simply love her. I'm kind of saddened as I see her weak and fragile but still grateful to God, knowing full well that He's good to His children and in complete control of all things. Pray that I would be faithful to God this summer as I work at Publix (hopefully I get the job!) and serve at my church.

Thanks.

Warmly,

Ivan Mesa
